Cooking
Thanks to the Rouxbe Cooking School, I have progressed from vegetable pasta to ‘pan-fried rainbow trout with hasselback potatoes, diced steamed carrots and beurre blanc.’ Right now I am 50% through ‘The Cook's Roadmap — Level 1’ and aiming to use these new skills to bring friends and family together.
My current goal is to complete 50 unique meals, and my reward is a Kyocera Ceramic Sandgarden Chefs Knife.

Sports
I keep fit with a mixture of cycling, running and gym. My aim for 2013 is to complete a half-marathon under 1:45 and bench 90kg incline for reps. I created my Strength Level Calculator back in 2007 to quantify weight lifting scores irrespective of bodyweight.
Personal bests: 40:04 10km run, 1:39 for 6min erg, 180kg deadlift, 120kg bench, 70kg barbell curl
Rowing was my primary sport at Cambridge. After a year of training I joined Queens’ M1 and together we achieved blades in Lent Bumps 2010, the highest accolade in Cambridge College Rowing.
Final day of Lent Bumps 2010, blades after a memorable row through a freak hailstorm
Queens’ Ergs 2010 trophy was presented by Olympic Gold Medalist Steve Williams
