Thursday, May 30, 2002 - Big Changes
OK - I know yall are asking when I'm gonna start doing some dev work. The answer is this summer. I finally have free time and will be focusing more on Q51. Some immediate changes are going to take place in the next rounds of games. These include some major and some minor. I have 2 major announcements I will be making as soon as this round of games ends.

Monday, April 15, 2002 - I May Need Some Help
OK - this server is growing at a tremendous rate. We have set a record for the game with the most players - Newbies with over 300. The bad news is that that many people in a game chews up a lot of bandwidth. I have 15gb and that doesn't seem to be enough because I am getting very close to going over on my monthly limit.
So here's what I need...
In order to keep this server running at a high caliber, I need more bandwidth. I am working on a mirror or 2 to help carry the load. If you have webspace with high bandwidth support that you would be willing to use for a Q51 mirror, contact me via email. I can't promise you an admin job or anything like that but you would be helping to keep the server alive. Also, I will be adding some links to the game in a few weeks for free in-game cash and free turns. These links will point to sponsors who will in turn help support Q51. I will keep you up to date on all of my plans.

Friday, March 29, 2002 - Newbies Restarted
The Newbies game has restarted and will unpause shortly so join now. Once again it is a limit of 2 vets per clan. This is a great chance for anyone new to the game to learn the ropes.

The Old Skew game is restarted and has a brand new (or old) play style. Planets don't produce and resources are low. Should remind you of the good 'ol days

Quadrant 51 Rules & Guidelines
Here are a few unique rules and a few not-so-unique rules...
1. No Multi's. If anyone is caught using multi's on any games on this server, they will be banned from all games on this server for 1 month. The Administrator has authority to retire confirmed multi's from any game without warning. If a player has been caught using multi's 3 times in any games on this server, they will be banned permanently from all games on this server. And believe me...I have ways of finding multi's. If I am suspicious of a player I will either come to them or investigate myself until I have found out the truth.
2. No cheating or exploiting bugs. We are using version 1.002 of the game so bugs should be minimal.
3. In all games keep cursing to a minimum. Minimal cursing will be tolerated; however, any player using graphic language is subject to be thrown out of the game.
