* Space Port trading values should be dynamic
* Space Port trading values should be related to the amount of minerals being
mined/available in the system
* As materials decrease, it's value increases
* No planets should be allowed in systems with Space Ports, as none are allowed
in Sol
The equasion for the port value system follows:
<bryan> At univers generation
<bryan> plus or minus modifier for each resource
<bryan> Each night
<bryan> volume of mineable materials in space added together
<bryan> base prices for metal and fuel set according to demand of minable
materials
<bryan> base prices of organics and electronics set inverted to demand of
mineable materials
<bryan> Current Universe Base + Port Modifier = Price
* Should ships be bought and sold at Star Ports?
* Should each port sell/purchase only certain ships?
* Decision: Buying and selling ships to remain at earth only
* Should ports be set to buy OR sell?
* Bryan doesn't want to have dynamic prices at the different ports
<bryan> However there may be a way to profit by stock piling a large cache of
material and waiting for the economy to swing your way.
* Could you build fighters with minerals you buy/mine? I.E. 1 fuel, 2 metals
per fighter
* Building fighters on planets
* Should planets build fighters like Colonists?
* Decision: Planets will build fighters if they have the resources
* should the auto build fighters thing have an on/off switch
* Bryan might get rid of taxes on planets for good - Everyone in meeting
disagrees!
<K> bryan- make colonists complain if they are on a planet they dont like and
revolt
<Av> bryan i think the more fighters you have on a planet the more unhappy
the populace gets, because of Martial law perhaps?
* Bryan and group like the idea of paying colonists to come to your planet
* Decision: You have to pay to take colonists to your planet
* Bryan's thinking of adding different races to the game
* Planet colonists would farm for organics & use it as some sort of population
control
* Perhaps the owner of planets decide how much of the population does each job
(Current Topic abandoned)
* Password protecting of planets?
* Much debate over if it's necessary because of being in clans, etc. Bryan
says it's a part of being in a clan. People say passwords a necessity
* Mining / resources on planets discussed
* Arturo brings back password protect options, and many agree with this.
* Bryan says password option a future feature
* Mining rates in space discussed - Rate at which different ships mine
* Should Attack Battleship have more shields than the Merchant Freigher?
* Ideal specs for Harvester Mammoth discussed: 250 fighter max / 150 Shields /
1000 Cargo / 8 minerals an hr
* Prices on ships discussed
<bryan> I like the idea of having a cannon fodder ship that can mine like hell.
* almost everyone agrees with the above statement! :)
* Bryan's gonna "ponder the planet economy"
* Allocation of citizens will be implemented eventually
